Getting back to the play on the diamond of what should be a very competive second half of the season, it's time to buckle up for the exciting ride to the World Series while making money! Today ProsperSports will start this second half of the season off by supplying you with 2 winners!
Game 1 - Cleveland Indians (41-53) vs. New York Yankees (57-36) 7:05 EST Start
Here we have the all mighty Yankees who's stacked with incredible talent, taking on a re-building Cleveland club. Over the last eight meetings, the Yanks have taken 6 out of 8. Tonight's game will be played infront of the Yank's home crowd where they've seen their team win 14 of their last 18 games in the house that Ruth built.
Taking to the mound for the Yankees will be Pettitte who claimed a record of 11-6 in the first half of play with an ERA of 4.63. Over 116.2 innings pitched thus far Pettitte has given up 131 hits with a WHIP of 1.38. When facing his counter part Sabathia over their last 3 duels, Pettitte has taken all 3. Going abit deeper, Sabathia when facing the Yanks has not fared well to say the least with a record of 1-5.
Tonight there's just too much Pettitte and pop in the Yankee's bats for the Indians to compete. Being an early -200 favorite, lay the -1.5 runs here to get a better value on your money because this will be a laugher as the Yanks cruise to victory!
Game 2 - Colorado Rockies (50-47) vs S.F. Giants (57-37) 10:15 EST Start
Tonight the Giants will look to continue stout play facing a terrible road team in the likes of the Rockies. Take the Rock's away from their home field and they struggle in a major way. Colorado own's a first have record on the road of 15-31, and tonight heading into San Fran don't look for their road record to improve. San Fran at home has won 9 of their last 12 outings.
Taking to the mound for the road struggling Rockies will be Jennings whom has a 9-6 record with an ERA of 4.56 as most of these earned runs have been given up on enemy territory. Colorado is 4-8 in Jenning's last twelve outings away from home. A team that struggles on the road, backed with a hurler who also struggles on the road don't look promising for the Rockie backers tonight. The early -140 favored Giants look like the play here in this matchup!
RECAP FOR THURSDAY, JULY 17 - 2 PLAYS, NY YANKEES -1.5 AND S.F. GIANTS STRAIGHT PLAY
Good luck to all as this is our debut post to the forum!
